Sadhguru

a yogi, mystic, visionary and a prominent spiritual leader

“I want you to know the power, the liberation, of another kind of science, the inner science, the yogic science through which you can become the master of your own destiny.” – Sadhguru

Sadhguru

In today’s world ruled by science and technology, a world dominated by religious dogma, sects and irrational belief systems, one wonders whether this wisdom remains.

Yet Sadhguru, a realized master, yogi and profound mystic of our times, stands as a living testimony to the spiritual legacy of the land.

A man whose passion spills into everything he encounters. With a keen mind, balanced by a heart that knows no boundary, his presence creates an extraordinary opportunity to break through limitations into one’s natural state of freedom, love and joy.

A contemporary guru, Sadhguru is rooted as strongly in worldly and practical matters as he is in inner experience and wisdom.

Whether speaking economics to the world’s statesman at international conferences or leading intimate disciples through a dynamic meditation, he takes us on the sacred journey from the known to the unknown

Sadhguru’s life is an invitation to the divine through individual transformation.

This possibility is available to anyone who is willing.

Sadhguru & Isha Foundation

Sadhguru’s vision to transform the world has been unfolding over the past 35 years through programs designed to create an inclusive culture and establish global harmony.

He established the Isha Foundation, an internatioal non-profit service organization, through which he has offered powerful yoga programs that extend a rare opportunity for self-discovery, inner transformation and empowerment for individuals to reach their full potential.

He has initiated many large scale human service projects for rural upliftment, quality education for the poor, environmental stewardship and holistic health, which have impacted the lives of millions of people around the world, earning a special consultative status with the United Nations.

Is Hatha Yoga a religious thing?

What religion you belong to has nothing to do with your ability to make use of the yogic systems, because yoga is a technology.

Technology does not make any distinction as to what you believe in and what you do not believe in. What you may believe in or not is purely a psychological process – it has got nothing to do with making use of a technology. Yoga is Hindu just the way gravity is Christian. Just because the law of gravity was propounded by Isaac Newton, who lived in a Christian culture, does it make gravity Christian?

Yoga is a technology. Anybody who is willing to make use of it can make use of it. It is ridiculous to even think that there could be a religious tinge to yoga.

The spiritual process and the technology of yoga predates all religion. Before human beings started thinking of forming religious groups to fracture humanity in a way that you can’t fix them, the idea that a human being can evolve himself came from Shiva, the Adiyogi.
